Recovery Points to Wellness Training Program
Dr. Caterina Di Palma worked for many years to help develop the law and rules defining the practice of AcuDetox in New Mexico. After the law and rules were in place, she developed her course based on the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) training and the rapidly growing fields of substance use disorders for treatment, prevention, harm reduction, relapse prevention, recovery and wellness.
AcuDetox is the five-point ear acupuncture protocol originally developed and used for treating heroin addiction at Lincoln Hospital, Bronx, NY (1973). Over the years it was proved useful for all addictions and at all stages of addiction/ recovery/relapse prevention/harm reduction.
